15' Heavy-Duty 3-Point

Great Plains 10HD Series Drills are the “drills of choice” for challenging conditions. The heavy-duty blades used on these drills are mounted on a forged disc standard for durability. The opener’s 15" disc blades are offset by ½" to add strength, increase trash flow, and provide proper penetration.

The openers feature full-length seed tubes and trailing flaps to ensure the seed is placed at the bottom of the trench. Depth is easy to set with an 18-position T-handle. Parallel linkage keeps the openers level throughout their ten inches of travel, and multiple press wheel options are available to increase the efficiency of these drills in many soil types. 

10HD Series Drills are available in two meter styles: fluted or precision. “Fluted” models feature proven fluted-feed meters. These combine 1-3/4" cups and 4-speed transmission to effectively meter almost any seed. However, as seed technology progresses and seed costs rise, the need to singulate seed and reduce seeding rates has become paramount. In response to the growing demand for precision drills, Great Plains 10HD Series Drills are also offered with “Precision” meters. The Singulator Plus™ meter singulates many seeds, including soybeans, sorghum, cotton, and even ultra low-rate rice.

By adding a Great Plains Precision Fertilizer Hitch, select models can be converted from min-till to no-till.

10HD Series Openers

• The 10HD Series is truly a heavy-duty opener with 15" opener blades and a ½" lead to penetrate easier.

GAUGE WHEEL DRIVE

• Ensures speed sensitive seed metering. Frame height is also controlled with these large rib implement tires.

Meter Options

• In most conditions, the accuracy of the Great Plains fluted feed meter is more than adequate. The combination of a 4-speed drive and adjustable seed-rate handle ensures accurate rates and acceptable in-row plant spacing. For more accuracy, the Singulator Plus™ meter evenly spaces seeds in the row and allows the operator to plant by population similar to a planter.

• Exclusive Great Plains fluted feed cups deliver outstanding accuracy for a large variety of seed shapes and sizes, and maintain precise delivery in either fast or slow drilling conditions.

Gauge Wheel Options

• Equip the drill with either heavy-duty single or dual gauge wheels.

Precision Meter (HDP Models)

PRESS WHEEL OPTIONS

• Choose from 3"x13" center rib; 1"x12" double V; or 1.25"x13" double wedge.

V-Bottom Dividers

• Dividers help distribute all the seed to the seed cups.

OPTIONAL SMALL SEEDS BOX ATTACHMENT

• Mounts directly to the back of the main seed box. Utilizes a smaller version of the fluted feed cup to accurately meter tiny seeds like alfalfa and wildflowers.

OPTIONAL UNIT-MOUNTED COULTERS
